2018-1019

Spring 2015

As you can see, I didn't end up following my blue and white scheme that I outlined below.  The house is an old Victorian, so I wanted to update the bathroom with a relevant color.  The gold looks really nice and opened up the whole space. The shower curtain from IKEA (for about $14) is just gorgeous and really adds to the overall feeling of the space now. It is a very simple upgrade, but, it shows what a little paint and fabric can do for a space.

Goodbye outdated green floral wallpaper

Hello beautiful gold

Goodbye hideous old curtain

Hello IKEA curtain

This never happened - the above happened instead:

Upcoming bathroom project in an old house with a black and white tiled floor and walls with outdated green floral wallpaper.  Client would like to take the paper off and paint the walls (upper half of the walls, the bottom is white tile) in a pale or mid-blue.  Wallpapering is an option as well.  Already installed a Kohler Memoirs sink with Kohler Bancroft faucet in chrome with white ceramic handles.  New Kohler Cimarron toilet was installed a year ago.  Lighting is outdated, but that is to be decided. New shower curtain, towels and rug to be added. Start date TBD soon.

Cottage bathroom refresh:

Replaced a hideous old sink and faucet with a small cabinet from Bertch (18x16) and Kohler Fairfax 4" centerset in chrome;  also Bertch faux marble top in Sage:

Added a new yellow shower curtain too:

COMPLETED KITCHEN REMODEL:

Kitchen has been fitted with new cabinets and counters only. One upper cabinet was removed as it was not needed and looks more spacious now. The wall is very dark and does have some water damage above the sink. Note the new Kohler Fairfax faucet. It probably doesn't look that updated to the reader, but, trust me, this kitchen was very outdated. There is still work to be done, but, it will be a slow process.  I apologize for the quality of the photos as these are not good, but, are all I had to work with for now. I will be able to get some better shots this spring.

Upper cabinet was to the upper left of the stove -

BEDROOM MAKEOVER

I used 'Urban Walls' decals from ETSY in navy and have painted two side tables in a gorgeous Sherwin Williams Spa Blue.  A new comforter and fitted sheet in orange adorn the bed. A new
textured lampshade and sheer curtains are also new additions.

Anne Harwell prints to complement the turquoise and orange color scheme -
