Travels in Maine...

Hi folks! Its been WAY too long since I posted, probably the longest I've ever NOT posted.  Life...lots going on and I'm gearing up for another big move, so I have things going on right now that don't allow me to spend too much time on the computer.  If I do, its a quick check of facebook, twitter and other social media.

Lately, its been difficult to have the drive or inspiration to post - do you feel this? I know a lot of you do, and its hard. I have been blogging a long time now and still love it, but, will be reassessing my goals, future and what I want to achieve in the next two months. I feel like the change from summer to fall is a good time to look inward.  What are your plans and goals? I don't do enough of this, so its time to start!!

Have a great rest of the Labor Day weekend and I will see you sooner rather than later!! xoxo

Maine is such a beautiful state - one day you can be 4,000 feet above
sea level and the next day, back at sea level on the coast - no
shortage of beauty here -

Have a great day!! xoxo

On the beach...

Sorry I have been a terrible blogger this week. I have so much going on and so many balls in the air, blogging is unfortunately an effort I just don't feel like I have time for right now.  I am moving from the beach, just down the road a bit but not across the street from the beach (boo hoo).  I have also become a landlord, so this is new and a little scary but exciting for me. I am taking this week to move slowly since my landlord said I could take some extra time.  My lease is up May 15th, but he is not holding me to this, which is great. Whew! Its been a helluva year for me but I am on to bigger and better things. Thank you for sticking with me. I thought I would post a couple of my beach photos - I will miss this place - it is also the place where I lost my best friend, my cat Scooter in December, so its bittersweet.

My beloved little friend Scooter, I miss you!!

The view from my backyard...

Thought I would do something a little different today.  I live across from the beach in Downeast Maine (that's local speak for this part of the coast) and want to post a video of my view.  It was clear, sunny and a balmy 43 degrees, so I was bundled up with layers!  Have a great rest of the weekend!

Endless inspiration...

Its been a roller coaster week with Hurricane Sandy devastating my home state of New Jersey - the images of the Jersey shore in ruins is very heartbreaking for all of us, not to mention that my 82 year old father has been without power for 5 days but just got it back two hours ago! I am beyond thrilled! I was so worried as I know what its like after living in New Hampshire and losing power on a regular basis, and during storms for a few days.

I have had lots of personal changes in the last six months and I am now living at the beach in Maine, which has been phenomenal, in a word.  A co-worker told me I would take it for granted after awhile, but, I went for two walks on the beach today and I will NEVER take it for granted. I wanted to share my photos that I have been taking on my walks...I have never been so inspired, its unreal. I don't leave the house without my camera in case there is a great photo - do you feel this way? I have loved taking pictures since my Dad gave me a Canon Canonet 28 for my 17th birthday - what a great camera it was, you couldn't take a bad picture. Now, with digital, its amazing that a camera that doesn't cost a huge amount of money still takes fabulous photos. Enjoy and have a great Sunday and enjoy the EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP!!! ;-0

Took the last few pics tonight on my second walk of the day - on weekends,
I walk twice!  It is so relaxing and wonderful to walk on the beach, I
never want to leave! Though, I saw the wrath of the ocean last week -
Hurricane Sandy is a reminder of Mother Nature's power -
Don't forget to turn the clocks back tonight!
Happy sleeping -

Till next time -
thanks for stopping by -

Waiting for Sandy...

Here in Maine, not sure what will happen but there is talk of coastal flooding and loss of power - I just moved to the coast!! Great! Hoping all will end well but will go to work tomorrow and worry about my little kitty at home. Took some pictures out on my two walks today:

Stay safe on the East Coast!!

Hoping we don't lose power, but, it may be inevitable-

just want to keep my cat safe -

Until next time -

On the beach...

Guess where I was? Hull, Massachusetts, a lovely seaside town south of Boston for product training with Rohl.  During a quick break today, we walked down to the beach, and oh was it wonderful breathing sea air, feeling the wind on my face and the warmth of the sun! I HAVE to get to the beach more often! We even stayed in a hotel across from the beach so I had a view from my sliding glass doors - fabulous.

The water was a stunning blue-green...

Homes overlooking the beach...

We learned a lot about Rohl faucets and Victoria + Albert tubs - more on that
soon...hope you are having a great week!
