What inspires you?

I am having some trouble with inspiration lately...I think I'm tired and just can't focus on what to post on my blog. However, when my new House Beautiful arrived the other day, I could hardly wait to open it and look at the cover photo.  I am really taken with this lovely house in Venice, CA and added the designer to my blog list of inspirational designers. Wow, wow, wow is all I can say. It is not to everyone's taste, which is a good thing, or we'd all be the same - but this style of design really inspires me. The fabrics, colors and the light are just fantastic. What a great house this must be to live in - do you like it? is it to your taste or no?

Had me from the get-go...I love everything about this room - especially the fabrics, the yellow, blue, rug, paint, accessories - I love Swedish design and I love color, so its the best of both...oh and pillows by Peter Dunham...

Ugh, that chair again, the fabrics, wicker chair and check the tiles out on the fireplace!

Simple, natural wood, Swedish chairs and the yellow and white blind - oh, and the lantern light...

Stop it, I can't take it...John Robshaw fabric and pale blue...'nuff said...
