Return to the past...

I just got my new Harper's Bazaar today with Anne Hathaway on the cover (she grew up a few blocks from me and went to the same high school, though, quite a few years behind me) and I noticed that Banana Republic is introducing a capsule collection by "Mad Men" designer Janie Bryant. She is also doing a collection for QVC and even though I have never watched "Mad Men" (I must get it on DVD), I fell in love with these styles. I love the idea of a return to this type of dressing, which is probably my favorite. Having said that, I probably love the '50's style better.  So, here is a preview - do you like this style and will you be buying any of these looks??

I love this color combo - and THAT bag...

These would be great colors in a living room...

Ahh! tweed!! and the gloves!!!

Navy and black, never out of style...

Have a great weekend and I'll see you back here tomorrow!!

(PS: I'm liking the new blogger format to view your blog and post, etc...)

Saturday in the kitchen...

Well, I saw this kitchen on House of Turquoise a couple of days ago and just couldn't resist. Not only do I love the color combination - sunny yellow and white but the floor, the kitty cat on the counter and pale blue accessories look so pretty too! The cottage is owned by photographer Stacey Haines in North Carolina and was featured here...Stacey did a total renovation of the house for under $2,300!  It is a must see!! Enjoy your weekend!
