Transforming a bedroom...

I spent most of yesterday afternoon painting an old cabinet I decided to add as a bedside table instead of one I don't like that we are using. I have now painted both bedside tables as well as a small L.L. Bean table in Sherwin Williams' gorgeous robin's egg blue called 'Spa.'  I still have more work to do as I need new curtains, a new lampshade, new rug and will be replacing one desk with another and painting it orange. I will also be painting a bureau orange. I can't wait but it is all one step at a time. Here is the first bedside table and little plant stand:

I love this cabinet but it was a strange color - kind of tan and white...purchased for about $20 a few years ago...

Here it is on the back deck ready for painting...notice the funny little bun feet...

Ahhh, primer...

I didn't bother painting the inside...it started raining so it got moved to the basement, where I finished it over the past week, including the bun feet.

The little L.L. Bean plant table...

Voila! the beautiful new blue cabinet!

I love how it looks now...its been given a new life...

And there in the corner, the L.L.Bean table in blue too...

Hope you are all having a great week out there in blogland...I will have more transformation pictures this week!  Don't forget that you can also follow me on TWITTER and join me on my new FACEBOOK page...thanks for visiting me!

  2. Thank you, Sarah for the kind comments! And don't give up on blogging, just keep doing what you love & you will grow. It might be slow & steady, but it will happen. You are right though about the amount of bloggers out there now, it is a huge amount! But, let your voice shine through.

  3. I never ever grow tired of seeing transformations on furniture. It always stuns me just how different things can look with a bit of know-how and some paint. I really like the colour you've chosen too. Gorgeous!
