Breakfast for dinner...

Do you ever eat breakfast for dinner? I LOVE making eggs, usually scrambled for dinner - its light, good protein and filling. I will add broccoli since I love vegetables with eggs, toast with jam, a tomato and a Pinot Grigio.  My breakfast is usually a high protein and fiber cereal...how about you? Any rituals in the morning or for dinner?

Yum! Breakfast for dinner!! ;-0

Happy Tuesday! Soon...more Olympics on the TV tonight though...

Brunch on Sunday...

This is one of my all time favorite breakfasts and it combines protein with a vegetable, which is a perfect way to start the day! Plus, I love eggs and I love asparagus, so combining the two is a winning combo. Do you love veggies with breakfast?

You can add salmon wraps to the asparagus or lox...
I added toast as well, in case you need more food for dipping...

I used Fotoflexer to edit these photos - and added
a gold frame around them ;-))

Happy Sunday!

Sunday brunch...

Ok, I am very late again posting, so I hope you don't mind...here is one of my all time favorites for brunch, lunch or even dinner! Blueberry pancakes - who doesn't love 'em?? Here is a fab recipe from scratch to try next Sunday!

Mmmm, yum...below are the ingredients needed and the recipe:

1/2 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup frozen egg product or 1 egg slightly beaten
1 1/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 tbs cooking oil
1/4 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup fresh/frozen blueberries thawed

1. In a medium bowl, stir together buckwheat whole wheat, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture; set aside.

2. In a small bowl, beat egg slightly, stir in buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Add buttermilk mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until combined but still lumpy. Then stir in blueberries.

3. Heat a lightly greased griddle or heavy skillet over medium heat until a few drops of water sprinkled on the griddle dance across the surface. Pour 1/4 cup batter on the griddle.

4. Cook over medium heat until pancakes are brown, turning to cook second sides when bubbly, and edges are slightly dry. Serve immediately. Will serve 6.

Brunch on Sunday...

Welcome to 'Brunch on Sunday!' I am debuting a new column here today! No more 'Spaah on Sunday' for now, so I wanted to mix things up a bit and start introducing some more interesting topics to my blog in addition to interior design.  I may do a poll in the upcoming weeks to determine what you guys might like to see besides design, as there are so many other topics I would like to cover, including fashion, photography, food, exercise, beauty products and pet stuff.   There are so many blogs out there now, it seems harder and harder to grab some attention.  Without further adieu, I saw this breakfast recipe and can't wait to try it, it looks absolutely delish! and it is from Raechel Ray...

Recipe for Breakfast Polenta that serves 4:

Directions:
Bring milk, salt,  1 1/2 tbsp honey and 1/3 cup water to boil; add Polenta; stir over low heat for 2 mins.
