Sunday in the kitchen...

Hello friends! Happy Sunday!  I am house-sitting this week for a friend and taking care of her adorable cat, Fluff.  So, I am adjusting to the new schedule and surroundings.  I have been so remiss in posting because I am in a new living situation and am not spending as much time on the computer.  This is a good and not so good thing right?  I thought I would post a kitchen for you to dissect and decide what you like or don't like about it.

Let me know what you think!

I love the IKEA units and yellow walls - the whole look
is so sweet.

Sunday around the cottage...

Happy Sunday! Its been a beautiful weekend here in New England and the sun is shining again so I will be going for a walk soon.  Nothing earth-shaking here, I just want to share my little purchase yesterday and what I had for breakfast today. Since the mornings are cooler, I thought I would buy myself some electrical heat to save money on propane and this little beauty was less than $70.00, so its a bargain, looks great and really works. See for yourself -

for similar - it heats up to 400 square feet

Breakfast for dinner...

Do you ever eat breakfast for dinner? I LOVE making eggs, usually scrambled for dinner - its light, good protein and filling. I will add broccoli since I love vegetables with eggs, toast with jam, a tomato and a Pinot Grigio.  My breakfast is usually a high protein and fiber cereal...how about you? Any rituals in the morning or for dinner?

Yum! Breakfast for dinner!! ;-0

Happy Tuesday! Soon...more Olympics on the TV tonight though...

Brunch on Sunday...

This is one of my all time favorite breakfasts and it combines protein with a vegetable, which is a perfect way to start the day! Plus, I love eggs and I love asparagus, so combining the two is a winning combo. Do you love veggies with breakfast?

You can add salmon wraps to the asparagus or lox...
I added toast as well, in case you need more food for dipping...

I used Fotoflexer to edit these photos - and added
a gold frame around them ;-))

Happy Sunday!

Sunday breakfast...

I wanted to share pictures of my Sunday breakfast with you...I bought some fresh strawberries yesterday and had to take pictures of them - their rich red color is beautiful.  I had cereal with blueberries as well in my vintage china and a cup of tea. Won't you join me?

I love the colors of these...they match the strawberries...

Vintage tablecloth and teacup...

Farm fresh strawberries...

These images are unaltered. Since Picnik is gone, I
don't use a program and have yet to find one. Any
suggestions?

Strawbs on my lovely little vintage plate...can you
believe, this is a Homer Laughlin plate!

My new camera takes great pictures without having to alter
them.

Matching colors - rug, table and deer antler above...

Kashi with blueberries in vintage English Staffordshire
bowl...

Of course, the requisite cup 'o tea...
