Thinking outside the...house...

My posts are so sporadic these days, I must apologize. I wish I could post every day, but, I just don't find the inspiration lately. Does this happen to you? Well, let's start the weekend here with some thoughts for the patio, backyard, front porch etc...we are always talking and posting about interior design, but how about exterior design for a change?

I am still on the hunt for a sweet and small table and chair set for my cottage.  It is for the front of the house where I used to have my picnic table (that rotted and I had removed late last summer). This year I am going to rent my house, hopefully from June-November, possibly longer. I am looking for long term tenants that will take care of the house.  Is this possible? I hope so! Anyone out there who might want to live for six (6) months in the lakes region in Maine?  Please send me a note (monacointeriors76@yahoo.com) if you or someone you know does!!

Monaco Interiors SHOP NOW OPEN!!

Hello and welcome to the grand opening of my little blog shop! I have listed 5 items and hope you will stop by and see what's for sale.  I will be adding more items this week, but, wanted to carefully choose what I am offering for the opening of the store today.

On another note, I went for two walks on the beach both yesterday and today so I am posting pics. I find the beach endlessly inspirational as I wrote last week.

Looking forward to another episode tonight of 'Once Upon a Time' though the writers are getting a bit away from the original story and I'm hoping it won't go the route of 'Lost' - I couldn't continue that show after the second season, as it became wacky.

Hi folks!! I am moving to the beach tomorrow and am beyond excited! I love Target and I'm sure a lot of you do too out there in the blogosphere, so I rounded up my top 5 picks for design bargains of the week for the home (and included some useful decorating tips)...or, the student returning to school to add some pizzaz to the dorm room...

Fabulous fashion pillows to add color to rooms for just $10...

Useful storage ottomans in faux-suede and choice of colors for $14...useful tip: use two together as a 'coffee table' to store magazines and/or to put your feet up while watching TV...

Great looking duvet cover & sham or comforters in Twin XL for only $18...useful tip: you can use these sheets as curtains for dorms or apartments as a thrifty alternative to curtain panels!
