Finally...Instagram...

Finally, I have Instagram and thought I would share some pictures I have been taking today.  I have been really terrible about posting, but, I am working full time now and just don't have the time I used to.  I am 'out of the groove' so to speak.

I hope everyone is enjoying spring here in this part of the world, though I know, Down Under its fall.

Have a great weekend!

Lots of flowers on my walks and interesting architecture -
also my Dad's cute cat named 'Little' -
I know I'm late to the Instagram game, but, I'm loving it!

It has a vintage tub, check, all white walls, check, white pedestal, check, chrome fixtures, natural fiber rug...oh my...I would love to hang out in this space or better yet, have designed it myself. I may have added a little more color with the shower curtain - would it look great with a turquoise curtain??

Top 8 living rooms...

Hello Bloggers!  I have compiled a list of my picks for the top 8 living rooms.  Please keep in mind these are only my choices and I know there are thousands of living rooms out there that deserve inclusion, but, courtesy of House Beautiful, my choices have lots of similarities as you will discover.  What makes a great room? Color? Texture? Balance? All of the above? Which is your favorite and why?

How is your weekend going?  I spent the day yesterday out in the New Jersey countryside, yes, New Jersey has fabulous country, at the Far Hills Race Meeting.  It is a steeplechase horse racing event on grass for charity and didn't disappoint. Lots of tailgate parties, tweed, wellies and wine to go with it.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

White walls, leggy French furniture, natural rug, gold

One of my top two!  white walls, pop of yellow and blue,

chair, gold accents

White/creamy walls, natural rug, leggy French chairs, metal tables,
lots of gold, LOVE that sofa

MY FAVORITE:

Mauve walls, leggy French furniture, gold
accents, natural blinds, silky curtains, crystal chandelier

I LOVE French and Swedish furniture
in this type of room - it always looks
beautiful and adds 'legs' -

See any similarities?  I do - lots of white, animal
accessories, gold accents, natural elements,
pops of color, symmetry in some of the rooms;
my favorite room has mauve walls, but I could
see them with a soft white as well - this room is perfect to
me.  The crystal, the gold and the furniture are
just wonderful; I only wish I could see the front of
the sofa!!  I have studied this room ad nauseam and I never
tire of it.  Great design should never be tiresome, it
should always be inspiring.

With that said, I am available for e-design from anywhere
in the world - please visit my 'Services' page for information-
I am flexible as well, depending upon the project or work
needed.

Do you have a favorite room from this list? Please let
me know which one and why in the comments below!

Beauty product du jour...

Stepping out of the design box again today, I want to share a beauty product that is fantastic I have tried recently. I am not getting paid to endorse this product, these are products I am using or have tried that I think you may want to try as well.

I was in my local CVS, and prices being what they are for skin care - i.e., rather high, I am always on the lookout for reasonable products that are high quality but don't cost the earth. I used to sell several lines of skincare, so I am familiar with skincare and love learning about new lines. I came across Lumene, a Scandinavian company that offers little trial products for $3.99 .  A 'time freeze' night cream that looked like something my skin could use at the right price.  I love it! If you are looking for a cream that will firm, tone and make your skin look brighter, this is it.  It is light, not greasy, goes on easily and is fine for sensitive skin. I highly recommend it. I recently bought the day firming cream with SPF, and have listed a couple of other products I want to try.  Would you try Lumene? Is it what you need?

This is a great cream for daily use...

I want to try this soon -

Vitamin C can be drying, so use with caution if you have
sensitive skin -

This is the first product I tried and I love it -

I would love to try these for my night routine -
You will notice that the prices are very reasonable as well -

Things I can't live without...

My new blogging friend over at http://www.coteprovence.blogspot.com/ asked what things I can't live without so I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit today:

Bare Escentuals is the BEST PRODUCT for the face - if you are looking for a foundation that doesn't look like you are wearing a foundation - totally natural and makes the skin glow!! I highly recommend it!!

This is a great product for eye puffiness as well as fine lines...LOVE THIS...

This is available in the US now after I first bought it in England...this product doesn't give you 'helmet head' -
Just discovered this beautiful bronzer for a great price -

I love this scent from the Body Shop - I've been wearing it for YEARS and its affordable!
I'm obsessed with SPF - I don't leave home without it and this is great protection and goes on light...:))
This classic changed my skin...I recently read Kylie Minogue swears by it and the sales went through the roof!! Good stuff...
I have been wearing my trusty Timex for years too - another classic that is stylish and keeps me on time!! Plus I can see it in the dark when I need to!

This is just one mag obsession but I can't live without several fashion and design mags...

I admit it...I can't tear myself away from blogging and can't live without my blog on a daily basis...

My beloved little kitty cat Scooter is a daily highlight - he is diabetic so I give him 2 shots a day and he is 15 now...love him so much...xx

I really love my car - its a Bug and its speedy, economical, looks great and I have a little vase with 2 flowers in it - its always fun to see kids 'punch' each other as I drive by (playing the 'punch buggy' game) -

That's it for me - I hope you enjoyed looking through this list - what favorites do you have that you can't live without?? Do share!!
